III Polyphonic Day of International Justice
Invictus Student Association has the pleasure of inviting you to the III Polyphonic Day of International Justice, organized by the Ibero-American Institute of The Hague (IIH) as well as the International and European Law program.
This event brings together the most renowned scholars of International Law from all over the world to discuss various aspects of International Justice. The third edition of this annual event will take place in the Aula and Speakers Corner starting from 8:30 in the Aula on the 5th June 2019, and will be centered on the Geneva Conventions on their 70th anniversary.
Following is an overview of the agenda:
- Opening Ceremony with music by violinist, Leonid Nikishin.
- Keynote Speech ‘Challenges of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers’ by the President of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers, Ekaterina Trendafilova, introduction by Petra Lindhout.
- A panel on ‘Outstanding Issues on the Implementation at the National Level of the Geneva Conventions in their 70th Anniversary’, find panelists in the attached program.
- Group discussions with panelists.
We invite you to join us for what promises to be a stimulating and inspiring day of discussions at the III Polyphonic Day of International Justice.
Kindly note that the III Polyphonic Day of International Justice will be part of the Ibero-American Week from the 22 May – 6 June, which will be comprised of panels (held in Spanish) discussing International Law in the Ibero-American region. We encourage you to participate in these respective panels and group discussions alongside the distinguished guests.
This event is also being organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Hague Project Peace and Justice, International Nuremberg Principles Academy, Kosovo Specialist Chambers, Chinese Initiative on International Law, African Foundation for International Law, Universidad del Rosario, Iranian Center for International Criminal Law, International Association of Penal Law, the International Criminal Bar, Brill Nijhoff, The Hague Academic Coalition, Instituto Joaquín Herrera Flores, Human Rights Advocates, International Law Student Association, and the Coalition for the ICC.
